As everyone knows, my current investment focus is Precious Metals with just a general interest in Energy.  I have positions in Aris Mining and Soma Gold, who are literally next door neighbors in central Colombia.  The Petro government has been most vocal against energy (blowing off one's foot, anyone?).  They dropped the pre-election promise of a 10% tax on Gold. Thus far, the most negative thing I've pick up so far is they will not allow open pit mines.  Aris and Soma are both soley underground operations.

 

I'd appreciate the board's experts to weigh in on Petro and mining aspect of policies.
