BUS closer to Georgia State orders

VANCOUVER, July 3, 2018 /CNW/ - Grande West Transportation Group Inc. (TSXV: BUS; OTC PINK: GWTNF) ("Grande West" or the "Company"), a Canadian manufacturer of mid-sized multi-purpose transit vehicles for sale in Canada and the United States, is pleased to announce that Alliance Bus Group ("ABG") has been awarded a state contract to purchase in the Georgia State Public Mass Transit & Transportation bid.

Grande West Transportation Group (CNW Group/Grande West Transportation Group Inc.)

Grande West's U.S. distributor, ABG was successful in winning the Georgia State bid for the Vicinity 30' and 35' heavy-duty vehicles. The contract allows for all transportation authorities state-wide to purchase Vicinity buses with Federal funding as well as all public agencies nationally to purchase with local funding. The contract is managed by Georgia's Department of Administrative Services State Purchasing Division (SPD). The SPD oversees the procurement functions for the State of Georgia and manages all policies related to procurement. SPD negotiates Statewide Contracts and provides technical assistance to State Entities in conducting and evaluating entity-specific competitive bids.

Douglas Dunn, CEO of Alliance Bus Group stated, "It's an exciting time for us at ABG having recently increased our bid activity for the Buy America Vicinity. With ABG being headquartered in Georgia, we have a long history of working with state organizations and their transit requirements. We look forward to building on the strong score of this winning bid as there are many other agencies across the country that will benefit from the outstanding Vicinity and its lower capital and operating costs."

Jean-Marc Landry, CEO of Grande West commented, "We are very pleased with the results of the Georgia State bid. Grande West's Vicinity rated with the highest technical score and the lowest cost in its class. It's our view that the mid-size heavy-duty bus market presents a major opportunity to Right-Size fleets in the U.S., and the Georgia State contract is another step towards our expansion into the U.S. market."
