I'm usually well versed in all things numbers, but those numbers confuse the hell out of me.
Due to seasonality, I like to compare months with the same month in the prior year. All 3 first Qtr months were weak. Then boom in april. Why? Have you seen dutch ttf prices? They are now lower than the invasion, so why now? When ttf was in the stratosphere last summer and fall, US paperboard was weak yoy. Why?
Not all US manufacturers are doing well, april pmi was 50.2. May flash was recession level 48.5. Looks like a bifurcated manufacturing sector. I see that when I look at some of your sector demands. Some weak, some strong, net out to 50 pmi level.
