What the 14 crash did was force companies to live with in their cash flow. No more borrowing as much as you can and drilling your brains out. The banks would no longer lend with almost no restrictions and companies are looking over their shoulder wandering when the Saudis again get pissed off. Shareholders also smartened up and started demanding debt pay down and share holder returns.
