Looking lower-10/6/22Running late; fasting gets harder and harder, like everything else, when one gets older and older...so a somewhat abbreviated look. With about two hours to go before the open: DOW Futures are currently pointing to an opening loss of 148.87 points; SP 500 Futures to a loss of 19.78 points; and NAS COMP to an opening decline of 54.45 points. I think Treasury Yields are slightly higher from my last look, but still at levels that indicate the Market thinks the FED will blink. The 90 Day T-Bill is at a yield of 3.35%; the 2 Year Treasury Note is yielding 4.16%; the 5 Year is priced to yield 3.99%; the 10 year is yielding 3.78%; and the 30 Year Bond is priced to yield 3.76%. All Major European Markets are modestly lower. The Nikkei and Kospi are higher; Shanghai and the HSI lower. WTI and Brent are slightly lower. Natural Gas and all of the Major Metals are higher. Cryptos are mixed. Bloomberg's Commodity Index is at 251.16. The IWM is down 1.17 to 173.53; the QQQs are minus 1.64 to 280.34; the SPY is off 2.26 to 374.83; the XBI is losing 0.77 to 81.90; and the XLE is dropping 0.97 to 80.03. My Watch List are mainly in the Red. FDX is plus 0.32 to 157.19 and LI is up 0.12 to 24.02; everything else is down or has not traded. TSLA and TWTR are amongst the most active; with TSLA the big loser at -3.50 to 237.31. Good luck |
