Re: Bought PYPLOppenheimer also gave PYPL a shove today, though mostly with their target price. Most of the analyst target prices are ridiculous anyway. "3Q21 adj. EPS $1.11 vs. our/consensus $1.07E. PYPL significantly reduced 2022 EPS expectations (~9%), which is off their 5yr-trend (22%). We expect significant EPS reductions across consensus given management's NT cautious stance on underlying industry/company-specific impacts, we thought already captured in management's previously guided expectations. Between eBay's pressure on revenue growth, combined with further investments in the platform/reserve build grow over, we believe PYPL's 2022/2023 adjusted operating margin could be under pressure vs 2021. Rolling out 2023FY estimate of $6.26; given NT expectations, we are significantly reducing our PT to $268 from $329. Sharing LT holders' likely disappointment in NT trajectory and perhaps a challenged stock NT, we still believe PYPL's LT trajectory is likely to resume in 2023 and thus remain Outperform. Amazon partnership announced." |
