2-4 times longer to recover

how does one define recover from the flu, probably 10-20 suggestions and each somewhat valid and somewhat nonsensical. The problem is to each person the “ recovery “ will be defined by something that is different then another, thus 2-4 times rate is impossible to define, of course one can make a definition to fit their narrative
