The Telco's don't care - those spammers are some telco's paying customer. what I do with spam calls:

 

- A lot of the time it tells you - most likely spam - don't bother picking up or pick up and take them for a ride before you hang up.

 

- Duct cleaning - All my ducks have flown south and have not come back! Do you know where they are? i have electric heat! I heat with a wood fireplace - no ducts and the list goes on. ;-)

 

- Windows calls - I got my windows cleaned last week! My computer model is "Staples - 4 function calculator" I still have not been able to connect to the internet! 

 

- For just about any spam call - Hasmil is that you? It sure sounds like you! You got my sister pregnant and the family is looking for you!! Where are you!!! Lots of different topics you can pick from and just make it up as you go! 

 

- Revenue Canada/ IRS calls . Don't make any selection and wait till they hang up or make a selection not on the menu till they hang up.

 

If you do answer, start with a long deep shallow "Haaallooooo! What was that? My hearing aid batteries may be dead - can you repeat that?? Keep misunderstanding everything they say till they or you have had enough. ;-)
