I see where another Ford Cabinet Minister has resigned from Cabinet as well as the PC Party over the "Greenbelt Fiasco". He will sit as an Independent. It is time for Ford to read the tea leaves and reverse the Land Grab that he allowed his construction buddies to buy. Only 10% of the houses that would have been built on these lands were not going to be classed as "Affordable Housing" anyway.
Time to return to the era of the affordable war-time houses that were built for returning servicemen after the Second World War. Thes homes were two bedroom homes on a small lot with a living / dining room, a kichen and a bathroom. The furnace and laundry facilities were (heaven forbid) in the basement. These homes were quite affordable and serviceable as a first home. Many of these were built in Hamilton where jobs were plentiful at the many local plants as they geared up for the returnees.
