Re: Another Ford Cabinet Minister resigns over Greenbelt
There is always a stair climber. The installation of this can be claimed for tax purposes for both Fed as a "Home Accessibility Tax Credit" and in Ontario as the "Senior's Home Safety Tax Credit". As these are both "Non-refundable tax credits", the tax savings are 15% (Fed) and 5.05% (ON) of the amount spent. The Feds allow up to $20,000 in expenses and Ontario $10,000. In many cases the chair lifts cost between $2,500 and $5,000 installed. Organizations, such as CARP, have discount deals with some suppliers. We installed one between the main floor and the upper floor. No medical justification required. Just be over 65.
