Based on the things I've read, I don't think their intent is to benefit anyone but themselves. Buy what they can cheap, stir the pot and force a sale, run off with their profit to a new target.

My guess is those on this board clamoring for change are going to get it but I'm not sure it will be the price we could have achieved without Farallon.
