Re: Down 6.5%There are so many reasons to appreciate September...end of heat and humidity, football, etc etc. Being an investor is not one of them. I believe the old adage of sell in May and go away has been an abject failure over the past few years (at least it seems like it), but the September swoon seems to be as true as a good dog. Reliable. I don't do it, but I would advise my boys to trade out of all your non-core positions in early Sept, write calls on some of your core positions, and short the S/P, and wait for November. |
