Yep, in a way, made nice money on MNKD going into approval, but held onto those gains by acknowledging what was going on was no longer what was 'expected'...
Self fulfilling prophecy? Naw, critical analysis worked.. Willing to be critical instead of failing to admit things had changed saved me. And yeah, I took a lot of 'heat' for daring to say this. And at the same time, I know some of those same ones, rode it down into the reverse split that then took place..
DNDNs first go round was another one. Road it up to $20+ on the 'safety board' vote, but because of what was said by one of the lead nay-sayers, made the decision to get out over $20 (up from $5).. Warned the board, was the ONLY one on the board of approx 80 others warning and saying I sold. An acquaintance was up over $500,000 with it over $20 as he had a lot of calls in play. Said he was going to hold on for 'more'. FDA denied its approval, CRL.. Share price dropped sharply to $10-11, he gave it all back. Board went silent and stopped accusing me of 'not seeing' what they all did. But it was too late.
Bottom line, seen this happen too many times when folks refuse to really question what they think 'will' happen, even in the face of evidence to the contrary.
So is that self fulfilling prophecy or something else..
