There's an op-ed out on the wires that DOJ may be looking at charging him with misuse/mishandling of classified material by his not having handed things over to the Nat'l Archives on his leaving office.
It's a low-level felony as such things go, BUT a conviction would EXPLICITLY bar him from holding future office.
This one may be easier to prosecute to a conviction than all the potential charges arising out of Jan 6, and just as effectively cut the legs out from under his trying to run in 2024.
