My question is why forgive 700M when you can buy company for 500M.

I feel Erck must have lied to GAVI and that is why they are not interested in negotiation. All of the things you suggest would have been discussed already.

Even if Novavax wins arbitration it is a loss for Novavax as it loses important customer.

The bivalent vaccine is key and till date they have not Mfg it.
