Re: U.S. Healthcare System Doesn’t Care if You Live or Die — as Long as It Gets Paid{{"Since you are of the opinion the health care system is trying to kill
you, what do you plan to do when you get severely sick? Like, for
instance, a severe heart attack. Or a stroke." I don't worry
about getting severely sick. I'm well nourished and healthy. I haven't
seen a doctor in years. I don't have a hint of heart disease.}} My first thought is 'if you haven't seen a doctor in years, how do you know you aren't in danger of a heart attack?'. A relative of mine felt tired after cleaning his garage, lay down on his bed and died of a heart attack. No warning. Active lifestyle, rarely got so much as a cold. OK, I get it, you're invincible, health-wise. Let's change that to a severe, life-threatening accident. Are you also Superman? So, here you are, laying on the side of the road, just been run over by a stolen truck, and to make it worse, mauled by a bear. The bear left to wash it's mouth out after eating part of your foot, and you are suffering from loss of blood, just a trifle disoriented, and things are starting to hurt. Who you gonna call? Lurker |
