Re: Covid Round 2Covid - the rapid test trick! You start feeling crappy, aches, tickly throat, whatever other symptoms that tell a body is coming under some kind of attack - and you do the Covid rapid test thingy and you get the two strong red bars appear and you go - oh crap - covid! Sure enough you maybe don't get too much worse, or you get about 24-36 hours of just feeling like crap and laying around feeling sorry for your self and miserable - and then magically - you start feeling much better. When you feel much better and you know you are over anything that is actively exploding inside and messing with your immune system - you take the rapid covid test again and you still get two bars - but this time it is the one strong reference bar and the second bar - the important one - is just a faded rose or pale pink. Now here's the thing - some folks still think they are actively fighting an active infection with this few days later pale pink second test band. The truth is you (if you are paying attention) and your body already know it is over - the test strip is simply picking up the dead vireon debris in the system - the active phase has passed. You know it - your body knows it - and even the test strip knows it even as the "ghost" remains. But it is not really over as this virus comes with a kicker - your immune system really doesn't like this little bugger - even if you have been vaccinated for it - and it acts up even on all that debris and has lingering inflammatory and immune system reactions long afterwards simply because it can. For some its mild - very mild, for others its a week or two afterwards where you are only running on partial power - half your batteries are still not charging properly and your energy levels just ain't there. For some unfortunate souls - that messing around with the bodily functions becomes chronic and lasts for months or even perhaps years? This happens with a lot of viral infections - the lingering aftermath (in the survivors of course) vary tremendously - in some nothing, in others mild, in a few severe and or chronic... Covid is such a strongly variable beast - and evidently genetics matter - immune systems matter - some of the stronger immune systems may cause the nastiest after burn effects. (Like with auto immune diseases - it is not the weak immune systems that mess you up - it's the really strong pit bull bastards that get wild and angry and start looking for things to go bite and kill...) Just some random "thots" here. GS |
