Sounds like you do similar to me.  I have a core position of AAUK that I keep, and trade a bit, buying at lows and selling at highs.  Last time I sold a little bit a few weeks ago just shy of $35.  I bought some previously in January just above $24.  When I do this, I sell off the excess when price appreciation makes AAUK significantly overweight and buy more when price dips make AAUK significantly underweight.
