As for following government advice about when the environment is ‘safe’: Those of us living anywhere near the 9/11 destroyed trade towers remember being told by the EPA it was safe to go into that area to help with the clean up and make necessary repairs. That turned out to be really bad advice and many contracted respiratory cancers from inhaling dust from the debris. With that as background, I can understand people being reluctant to accept their government’s assurances. Especially this administration.
