Re: Dis's Theorem of Nine -- Magoo

Magoo,

In the mid-60s, while I was still in high school, I was the Accounts Receivable
Coordinator for Providence Hospital in Waco. As such, I developed and populated
the Medicare Spreadsheet. I footed and cross-footed this on a columnar pad with
about 30 columns. In the summer of 69, between my junior and senior years in
college, I worked at the brand new DeQueen General Hospital in DeQueen, Arkansas.
One of my main tasks was to develop and populate the Medicare Spreadsheet for
that hospital. I was paid handsomely, $500 per month plus room (twin bed in the
surgery lounge) and board (at the hospital cafeteria), to which I had a key for
midnight snacks.

As an OLD accountant, I knew about the rule to which you refer for TWO transposed
numbers. I think the Theorem of Nine to which I referred goes far beyond that
rule for transposing two number. My rule applies to RANDOMLY re-ordering ALL the
numbers. Take, for instance, the number:
37629418. Transposing two numbers would result in
37629481, or maybe
37624918. My rule applies to RANDOMLY changing ALL the numbers to:
21984673 for instance.
