BEEM's a good example of a nice little company that got way ahead of itself. Even if someone thinks a company is the greatest thing since sliced bread and going up forever,you have to at least take your investment out and a nice profit after a big run and maybe hold some. You think of the DNDN's and VHC.
There's a saying,especially to those that trade more,we don't own stocks,we rent them.As long as I'm into old market/trader sayings,one of my favorites is "it's better to buy a bad stock at the right time than a good stock at the wrong time.
MSFT is a great example.Obviously a great company,but if you bought it or held on from it's high when the Nasdaq bubble topped out in 2000, it took MSFT 16-17 years to exceed it's old high.
And yes I know,people that put $$ into retirement funds on a regular basis over a long period do well by retirement,but I'm talking individual stock situations here.
