 From what I have read, the center and right brigades continued to the end.  The left faded.  The center actually mad it to the Union line, amazing that they were facing cannons firing canister- giant shotguns of grape, and Union troops behind a stone wall. 
 
That war was such a waste.  Nearly a million killed, pretty much all white men.  Blacks should be killed in size as reparations, but then they are doing that to themselves.
 
Lincoln could have stopped it.  He was our worst president, although Biden is giving him a run for his money.
