I would suggest Lumen is building FTTH to be sold within 1-2 years.Massive interest in FFTH builds going on in USA with even the big players like Google, Meta and many many other smaller companies building aggresively. There is money there but I dont think Lumen wants to be that type of company.

As Lumen shows progress and path to FTTH success it will be sold.

Kate (MSFT) was brought in to develop lumen into cloud type company, that is what she knows. not a small business home internet residential business. I see that as the goal of the company, get out of tradional telecom last mile and become cloud. Keep Long haul routes and key metro fiber to connect to datacenters but sell LEC assets and make deals for last mile with buyer. I dont see Lumen trying to fund a FTTH model and invest in cloud it is one or the other.
