I was surprised when Eugene Sharer answered his phone when I called it the other day. I asked him if ABEW was still alive, and he said that things weren't looking good. I asked him what the biggest problem was, and he said that it was (of course) the inability to get financing in this economic climate. I asked why he and Raj couldn't sell ABEW's intellectual property, since ABEW undoubtedly has / had some of the top technology and software within the zigbee realm. He sounded as if this idea was a novel one, though he obviously must be trying to figure out some way to cash in on some of the advantages that ABEW still maintains within the zigbee world.
Hopefully, with all of the hype going on about zigbee in general, there will be some company that can use what Airbee has to offer. And soon.
