I had a surprise this year come tax time.  TD Ameritrade reported a Cap Gains event for OKE this year.  Surprised to see that my cost basis had gone to zero on a lot that I purchased in 2005.   This was a first. I've never had anything else like a REIT go to a zero cost basis like this.  Now I know how TD Ameritrade handles it.
