Re: OKEInteresting. You are correct. OKE and others including AM & KMI reported a portion of their dividend as a return of capital. Once your basis is reduced to zero any dividends classified as return of capital is indeed taxable as a LTCG. My KMI basis is close to zero. 90% of AM payout was ROC. Had never noticed. Thank you |
