Re: MMP tax burden
I have shares of OKE. I really didn't want to have to track a basis for premerger shares and post merger shares. The previous sentence that I struck through is not correct. The broker provides a return of capital amount each year that reduces the basis.
I also got a tax bill for the OKS to OKE transition from MLP to C-corp. I am over management teams that think sticking me with a tax bill is acceptable. I do still own shares of ET which has stuck me with a tax bill multiple times. Such is life of a unit holder.
